I have been head of music at The Crescent Theatre for twenty years and have loved (almost!) every minute of it. I get to work with some very talented people in a whole range of music including stage musicals (we have made the musicals of Sondheim something of a speciality) Christmas Wassails as well as composing and arranging music for a wide range of productions. As well as rehearsing Grand Hotel I have also recently directed the music for a terrific production of ‘The Crucible’.
Rehearsals are going brilliantly for Grand Hotel which I think is a much under-rated show. The score is absolutely knock-out and we have some amazing solo singers as well as a vocal ensemble that is brimming with talent.
